How many portions do the cakes serve?  

All TLP celebration cakes have 4 layers of cake sandwiched with three layers of delicious filling, cake portions are given as a guide and you may be able to get more or less portions, depending on how generous you are feeling or how hungry your guests are!

Do you have a price list for cakes?

 As all our cakes are made to order, please fill in an enquiry form for an accurate quote.  The starting prices can be found on the flavour list section of our website.

There are two parking spaces right outside the shop but if they are full, you can also park across the road for free in the Castle Gardens Pub car park.

Do you do bespoke cakes?

Yes! We absolutely love to make bespoke cakes, please fill in our enquiry form, with as much detail as possible and someone will get back to you with a quote.

Can I send a photograph of a cake for you to copy?

We love to be creative and original and hope that is why you have chosen us to make your special cake. 

We are happy for you to send images as inspiration, but we will not copy another cake maker's work directly, it's unfair to other cake artists, and we would hate for someone else to do it to us!  (treat others as you would like to be treated and all that!)

How should i store my cake?

 All of our cakes are fragile and as we do not use preservatives, perishable.  They will happily keep for 5 days if kept in the fridge, or a cool, dark and dry place (like the garage or shed in winter), and should definitely be kept out of direct sunlight or a window in summer (no one wants a melted cake!) Please remove from the fridge at least three hours before serving to allow it to come up to room temperature (unless it's a boiling hot summers day, then leave in the fridge until you have to serve it), but please, for the love of god, do not leave in front of a radiator or fire.  

If by some strange miracle you have any cake left, you can portion it up, wrap in clingfilm and freeze, it makes a great addition to a packed lunch, or quick dessert for the kids! 

Do you make 'free from' cakes?

 Not at the moment unfortunately, all our cakes are vegetarian, and do not contain alcohol (apart from the champagne and strawberry cake, or any cake decorated with gold or silver lustre) 

All our cakes and bakes are made in a kitchen handling wheat, egg, dairy, soya, peanuts, nuts and food colouring so we cannot guarantee against any traces of allergens.

What is your booking/cancelation policy?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking, no bookings are confirmed until this payment has been received.  The balance for the cake is then required 4 days prior to collection. No refunds will be offered for cancellation of a cake, but we will endeavour to move your deposit to a new date if we have at least 2 weeks' notice and we have availability.  Please get in touch as soon as possible should you need to make any amendment to your booking.  

Do you deliver?

We don't offer delivery of cakes; it’s collection from the TLP shop only.
